Highway Improvements Requests

The system for requesting highways improvements to Wiltshire Council is initially through the Parish Council as set out below.

How to submit LHFIG highways requests

There has been some confusion among some town and parish councils about how to submit Local Highway and Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) requests.

Please ensure you have downloaded and fully completed the current LHFIG form, which is available on the Wiltshire website from this link

https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/media/2581/Report-a-highways-improvement-issue-PDF/pdf/Highways-improvement-form-rev-c.pdf?m=1578659739877

This should then be submitted to the Parish Council for approval before submission to Wiltshire Council. The town/parish council comments box must be completed to confirm that the town or parish council supports the issue, along with the date of the meeting where it was discussed. You also need to ensure you’ve included your community area, and if the form has been completed electronically, please only submit the electronic form rather than a scan.

Completed forms can be submitted to [email protected], and please also use this email if you have any questions

Requests for  local highways improvements (roads, pavements and parking) should be made using the form from the link above and email to the Parish Council clerk: [email protected] or hand the form to any Parish Councillor or bring it along to a Parish Council Meeting.

Highways Maintenance

The Parish Steward visits the village regularly, to undertake minor repairs such as small pot holes and blocked gulleys.

Please report any such issues to Councillor Adam Oakley at [email protected]

More major maintenance issues should be reported to Wiltshire Council  using the My Wiltshire App at http://my.wiltshire.gov.uk

This should also be used for reporting dog fouling and fly tipping.
